  Due to the rapid increase in the need of energy source including charcoal in South-east Asian country, more people start to get interested in charcoal making business. In general, charcoal products can be classified into many different kinds based on raw material or production process.
   As being know from charcoal users throughout the world, “Sawdust Charcoal” is being recognized as one of the best charcoals present in the market. Benefiting from the production process, no additive is required for sawdust charcoal making. It is thus, safe-to-use, better for grilling purpose and environmental-friendly. This helps to reduce the forest cut-down due to the use of the sawdust waste as a raw material.
   Sawdust charcoal making process is divided into 3 parts; sieving and conveying of sawdust to the dryer, extruding dried sawdust at high pressure and temperature by extruder, and sending to charring process. The machine design for sawdust extrusion is important as it is a major factor which decides the quality of final charcoal product. Another factor is the charring process. Without good charring process, there is impossible to achieve good quality products.

General characteristics of our Sawdust Charcoal are

• Last long burning up to 3-5 hours, depends on usage condition since the charcoal has been extruded at high pressure, resulted in high-density of product’s texture.

  In order to achieve high quality charcoal as described above, all the charcoal making system has to be taken into account. Starting from extrusion process, good extruded charcoal must have high density and stiff enough for the charring process and transportation. We are currently able to achieve that specification by our machine below;

Charcoal extruder equipped with automatic temperature controller model: MSB-0001

   This Sawdust Charcoal making machine equipped with automatic temperature control ler is designed to produce high density charcoal. This can be achieved by 25 Horse power electrical driven motor (3 phases) and 3 belts pulley for more stable power transfer. The bearing used in the machine is specially designed to support the load and extent the lifetime of screw shaft and pulley. Maximum capacity of standard model is more than 1,000 kg. per day and can be operated 24 hours a day. The body of the machine is made from high strength steel with casted extruding cylinder to withstand high pressure force and high temperature. The ratio of pulley is designed to yield an optimum prodution capacity. Normally, at this stage, the extruded sawdust (before charring process) can be sold for B.B.Q use or fireplace use directly as well. Note that the machine guard and cutting set for the extruded charcoal are optional.

Extruder for Sawdust charcoal comprises 3 major parts;

1. Main drive motor unit

2. Pulley unit

3. Screw and extruding cylinder unit

4. Controller units for motor and temperature adjustment

1. Main Drive Motor Unit

Using well-known 25 HP. 3 phases Mitsubishi Motor as a default motor type to drive the screw units and build up pressure for high density product.

2. Pullet Set

Designed with 3 belts for better transfer of power from motor to screw unit. The speed ratio is designed to match with the sawdust type and to optimize the production capacity.

3. Screw and Extruding Cylinder Unit

Using cast iron designed to bear the shear force and wear resistance. The cylinder is equipped with 3 set heaters (totally 2,700 Watt.) to be able for sawdust to reach the reaction temperature up to 350 degree centigrade.

4. Controller units for motor and temperature adjustment

Thermocouple and temperature controller unit are utilized for better controlling of temperature.
